A rhombus has four equal sides, parallel opposite sides, equal opposite angles, and diagonals that bisect each other at right (90-degree) angles, also bisecting the corner angles.
It's a type of parallelogram...
Be A Rhombus:
- Four Equal Sides: All four sides have the exact same length.
- Parallel Opposite Sides: Like all parallelograms, opposite sides are parallel to each other (e.g., top side parallel to bottom, left parallel to right).
- Equal Opposite Angles: The angles directly across from each other are equal (e.g., top-left angle equals bottom-right angle).
- Perpendicular Diagonals: The two diagonal lines connecting opposite corners cross at a perfect right (90°) angle and cut each other in half (bisect).
